Ida at the skating rink

Ida sat on a table by the consetions. It was cold. She had on some jeans and a black jacket. She knew it wasnt the cutest outfit. But it worked. Ida was tierd of waiting for Ellen to come. They where going to get the hot chocolate because it was the best in town. Ida sighed. She walked down the row of lockers toward the bathroom. She passed the vending machiens. There were to people making out next to the soda machien. Ida didnt give ut a second look. She got some water. But the more she tought about it the more the guy looked like Chan...She turned anbd looked at them. The guy had longish black hair with a green stripe. It was chan. The girl was wrapped around him. She was preppy. But pretty. Ida glared at them. Chan looked up. "If you take a picture it would last longer." He said. Ida's mouth fell open. "Excuse me!" He laughed. "God Ida, youyr stupid." The girl laughed. "AND YOUR A CREEP!" She screamed back at him. He srugged and they kissed. Ida face grew red. She bit her lip. "Were over!" She groweled. By now people where looking./ "Ida your making a spectacle. Just shut up. And also, you cant fiore me. I quit." He hlaughed. Ida clossed her eyes and stomped off.

Erik had been skating, when he saw it happen. He stopped, and the puck slid past him. He got yelled at. "one sec guys.." he got off the ice, and took off his helmet. He was sweaty. He ran over to her. "I..ida, are you ok?" He shook his head, and put his helmet under his arm. He put his arm around her. "C'mon, forget about her.." max ran over. He had been talking to some of his friends. He put his arm around her too. "Ida, are you ok?" they both watched her, concerned. They were her friends, and they cared about her.

Ida nodded. "Yeah..." She clossed her eyes. "Gawd, hes such a jerk. I don't know why I didnt trust my friends." She sighed. Then looked at Erik. "You girl frioend would never do that to you. Crisy something right?" She could'nt help glancing back at the two. They were still making out. Not even fased buy what had happened. (Chack you pm!)

Erik shook his head, and blushed. "Uh...well...she's not really...uh.." max gave him a look. Erik looked over, and saw Chan, and Christine. His jaw dropped. He stuttered a minute. His equipment suddenly felt very heavy. "I..I'm gonna..uh, go change..." he walked, as if in a trance, towards the lockers.

Ida was confused. She looked back at Max. "Why is he-" She turned and looked at chan again. She recognised that hair...Then it struck jher. It was chriistine. Ida blinked. "That little..." She didnt know what to do. "Max...you might wanna ah-" She realised his arm was still over her shoulder.

He watched his brother walk off. "That's not like him.." he whispered. He didn't know about Christine, but secretly, he was happy about Chan. He took his arm off her. "um...one second.." he ran off towards Erik, and went into the boys lockers with him. Leaving Ida in the hall.

She nodded. Ida sat down. Then dialed Ellens number. "Hey." She said when it picked up. Ellen laughed. "Whats up?" Ida could hear some guys voice in the back. "Ellen? Wjhats going on?" She laughed again. "Nothing!" "Go away..." She mumbeled. Ida sighed. "Wait? Steve?" She heard the phone clicxk off. Her friend had left her for some rotten guy.

Ida had waitten long enough. Chan and that Icky blonde had left a half an hour ago. Either Erik had some serious problems or they were standing her up. She got up and brushed her lap off. She pushed her hair back and sighed. Were was a friend? She sighed again and started walking toward the door.

Max was arguing with Erik. "What's your problem anyway!!!" Erik yelled back. "YOU don't know the half of it!" Max put his hands in the air. "WHATEVER erik! You always were a baby!" he grabbed his skateboard, and skated home. Erik took his skates and slung them over his shoulders. He went out, his eyes burning. He sat next to Ida. He shook his head, and bit his lip. "I'm such an IDIOT" he looked away, and shook his head.

Ida watched Max walk out. "Yeah? Well join the club." She said looking at the floor. "Was that really your girlfriend?" She asked. Then looked out onto the Ice. Then back to Erik. She wonderd why he was even talking to her. They had always been....well as Max and her put it when they were kids, enimies.

He shook his head and looked at her. "Doesn't matter..." he looked at the floor, hard. He sighed. "Do you wanna...get somthing to eat?" He sighed again.

She looked out the window into te drizzleing weather. She wasnt really hungry. But she didnt want to walk home in the rain. It was a half a mile away. She shrugged. "Sure..." Then looked down at her shoes. "Ho- how long had you guys been dating?" She asked.

He stared at the ground. "Don't ask" he got up, and shook his head, and looked at her. "What did you want to eat?"

Ida nodded. "I dont really care." She said. Then started to get nup cutching her purse.

He walked over to the counter. He sighed. "um...one hotdog, chilie, bag of chips, ...and.." he looked at Ida.He sat down at the bar stools around the snack bar "I guess the same for her?" they guy rung him up. Erik payed and handed Ida her hotdog. He sat down at a table, and waited for her.

Ida sippeed her soda. She looked back over to where they were kissing. She felt like crud, and no amount of sweet sugary goods could change that. She tried to open her chips, but misrably failed. Ida then ate the chili off her dog.

He smiled, and leaned over he opened her chips, and smiled as he sat pack down. he sighed, and stopped smiling. He had finished his food. He didn't know what to say. They both felt rotten. His phone wrang. He looked at it and answered. "yeah?" pause "ma.." pause, and grumbling "fine...." he looked up at Ida. "can I bring a friend?" pause "love you too...." he hung up and sighed. "I gotta move some stuff from the loft....do you wanna come?..it's not that far Of a walk... " he shrugged. "Baby liesel will be there...I gotta babysit again..." he didn't know why he was being so open..but he really didn't want to have to work alone.....

Ida paused. "Are you sure your parens would ah, I mean you just brooke up with your other girlfriend... I might be a little akward." She said. Then sighed. "You want mny dog?" She asked scutting it over to him. Then reatched in and grabbed another chip.

"um...they didn't know about her..." he laughed awkwardly. He took her hotdog. "Sure, thanks.." He ate it, and got up. "All right, ready to go?...just 2 blocks.." He laughed.

"Thery didnt know about her?" Ida raised her eyebrows. Then laughed. "Well I Guess I could say the same." She stood up and through her food out. Then walked to Eriks house. She wondered what Max would think. But sighed.

He smiled and walked to his house with her. He walked in, and looked around. His mom had left a note on the table. She was gone to the store or somthing. Max wasn't home either. He sighed, and tossed his bag onto the couch. He shrugged.

She nodded. "So? Why did we come here again?" She said sitting on the oversized couch. She knew what weould normally happen now...but with out a boy friend. She sighed and looked over at Erik.

He sat down and sighed, trying to remember. "OH!! Liesel!" he jumped up and ran into his room. She was set up in her collapsable crib thingy. He smiled and picked her up. She was 2 now, and very cute. She poked his nose, and he crossed his eyes, making her giggle. He carried her out in the hall, and laughed. "here she is.."

Ida smiled. "Shes so...small." She said looking art it. She poked its stomuch then jumped away. She wasnt good with kids.
