Ed & Audrey month 5

Ed and Audrey were kissing on the couch. This was really all he wanted out of life. He'd honestly be ok if he died right that instant. Because this...this was great. "Marv and Ritchie won't believe this, huh." she whispered. Ed shook his head. "I really don't want to think about that right now." He paused. "You have to leave sometime, right?" "So what, you want me gone?" Audrey teased. "No, no, that's not what I-" "I know." Audrey interuppted and she kissed him again. Unfortunately, they had to stop when the phone rang. "WHo could possibly be calling at 11 at night?" Audrey asked. "Only one way to find out." Ed picked up the phone. "Hello?" "That took THREE RINGS, Ed! THREE! What, are you AVOIDING me? Your own MOTHER?" Ed grinned. Ma, he mouthed to Audrey. She nodded. "Ma, what do you want." "Well, what do I want. I want a son that isn't STUPID, that's what I want! You said that Audrey would be back by now, but she ISN'T!! ARE YOU HOLDING HER HOSTAGE, ED?? ARE YOU??" "No, no I am not, Ma. She just decided to stay a bit longer." He shot an exasperated look at Audrey, and she shrugged. "Well, she SAID she'd pick up my CLOTHES from the CLEANERS!" Audrey rolled her eyes. She could hear Ma through the phone from where she was standing. "So get them yourself, Ma." Ed suggested. "GET THEM MYSELF!" Ma screamed. "ARE YOU SUGGESTING THAT I GO OUT AND GET THEM MYSELF?! IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT, ED!!" "Uh, well, sort of." Ma didn't say anything for a second. "WELL TOO BAD!" Then she slammed the phone down. "What is her problem?" Ed asked Audrey. "Ed, she's just lonely. Give her a break." "Yeah, yeah." Ed shrugged her off. "I'm going to bed." He paused for a second. He felt the small package in his jacket pocket....and shivered. No way. Not yet.
