Finally, at long last, Alice was going to work. She was so happy! Joe was finally convinced, after two looong months, that Alice was finally in love with him enough that she could be let out. He was right. Over her hostage period, Alice had realized what a sweet, cute, and funny guy that Joe was. Alice had always wondered who would be that "special someone", that guy who was just perfect for her in every way. Maybe it had to take a stalking, kidnapping, and hostage for her to find him. She walked into the school with a smile on her face, knowing that her day was going to be perfect.
When she got to her classroom, room 218, there was a large bouquet of flowers sitting on her desk. They were from her students, given to her as a welcome gift. Alice was touched by their sentiments. She personally gave each one of them a big bear hug. She was surprised at how BIG they all were. Her degree in teaching had never prepared her for students who were as big, or even bigger than she was! But then, MOST people were bigger than she was. Joe towered over her like a skyscraper, making her look like a child standing next to him. How funny will the wedding pictures look, she thought, and her heart filled with a sort of glow that she didn't quite understand at the mere thought of marrying Joe. She preceded to teach the children their multiplication tables, with such an enthusiasm that was unusual even for the ever-peppy Alice.
